Plans and billing

Your plan decides how many messages your workspace can send, how many WhatsApp numbers and team members it can have, and which features it includes. Plans belong to a workspace: every workspace has its own plan and its own message allowance.

Manage everything on Billing & Plans in the sidebar. Payments are handled by Paddle, Wbiztool's payment provider.

For current prices and what each plan includes, see Pricing. For refunds and cancellations, read the Refund policy and Cancellation policy.

Quick answers:

Before you start#

Free trial#

A new workspace starts on the Free trial with 50 free messages, so you can connect a number and test sending before you pay. The top of Billing & Plans shows Free trial while you're on it.

What's on the Billing & Plans page#

SectionWhat it shows
Limited Time Discount Available!Coupon codes you can use right now. Only shown when one applies to you.
Current planFree trial, Active until and your renewal date, Lifetime Access, or Expired, with your plan name and billing cycle.
UsageMessages, Whatsapp Accounts, Team Members and Unibox Numbers, each as "X of Y Used".
Active SubscriptionsEach paid subscription with its add-ons, Next Billing date and a Cancel button.
Subscription PlansThe plans you can buy, with a Monthly / Annually switch. AppSumo customers see AppSumo Plan Details instead.
Available Add-onsExtra team members and Unibox numbers you can add to a paid plan.

How usage is counted#

  • Messages counts messages sent and messages still queued since your current allowance started. Failed, cancelled and expired messages don't use your allowance.
  • Whatsapp Accounts counts every WhatsApp number added to the workspace, connected or not.
  • Team Members counts everyone in the workspace, including you and people who haven't accepted their invitation yet.

Your message allowance resets when your plan renews. Unused messages don't carry over to the next period.

Choose a plan#

  1. Open Subscription Plans

On Billing & Plans, find Subscription Plans. If the table is hidden, click Show Plans.

  2. Pick monthly or yearly billing

Use the Monthly / Annually switch. With Annually, prices are shown per month, billed annually.

  3. Select the plan

Click the button under the plan. Paddle's checkout opens. Fill in your payment details, plus a coupon code if you have one.

  4. Wait for confirmation

After you pay, keep the page open for a few seconds. You see "🚀 Your payment has been verified." and the page reloads with your new plan and message allowance.

If the confirmation doesn't appear, reload Billing & Plans after a minute. Your plan is activated once Paddle confirms the payment, and Wbiztool emails the workspace creator "WbizTool - Subscription Activated" (if their email address is verified).

The plan buttons show where you stand:

ButtonMeaning
Current PlanThe plan and billing cycle you already have. It can't be clicked.
UpgradeA plan with the same or a higher monthly price than your current one.
DowngradeA plan with a lower monthly price than your current one.
Switch to Annual / Switch to MonthlyYour current plan on the other billing cycle.

On a yearly plan you pay once a year, but the message allowance is still monthly: it's refreshed every 30 days.

Change your plan#

Upgrade, Downgrade, Switch to Annual and Switch to Monthly all open a new Paddle checkout for the plan you picked. When the payment completes, the new plan replaces your current plan in Wbiztool and you get the new plan's full message allowance straight away. Messages left from the old plan don't carry over.

Add-ons#

Add-ons need a paid plan. On the Free trial you see "Please subscribe to a plan first."

Add-onPriceWhat it adds
Extra team member$10/month or $100/year per memberOne more seat for a team member per unit.
Unibox phone number$20/month or $200/year per WhatsApp numberOne more number that can receive messages in the Unibox inbox or send them to your webhooks. Every Unibox action, such as adding a listener or replying in the inbox, needs this add-on.

Buy add-ons#

  1. Choose quantities

Under Available Add-ons, pick a quantity for each add-on you want. Turn on Yearly for yearly billing.

  2. Check out

Click Update Subscription. Paddle's checkout opens for the add-ons you picked.

  3. Wait for confirmation

After paying, you see "🎉 Add-on successfully added to your subscription!" and the page reloads.

Change or remove add-ons#

  1. Find the add-on

Under Active Subscriptions, find the add-on (shown as, for example, 2x followed by its name) and click the edit icon next to it.

  2. Set the new quantity

Enter a quantity from 0 to 99. Setting 0 removes the add-on after you confirm.

The change applies straight away, and Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of the billing period immediately. If you remove the Unibox add-on, the workspace's Unibox listeners are removed.

Coupons#

When a discount applies to your workspace, the Limited Time Discount Available! card lists the code, the discount and any expiry date or remaining uses.

  • Codes for base plans are only shown while you're on the Free trial.
  • Codes for the Unibox add-on are only shown if you don't have it yet.

Click Copy next to a code, then paste it into Paddle's checkout. Closing the card hides it for 24 hours.

When you run out of messages#

Once the workspace has no messages left:

  • API requests are refused with Not enough credits (bulk sends say how many messages were requested and how many are left). See API errors.
  • Sending from the dashboard is refused with a message such as "Not enough credits!" or, for campaign uploads, "Low credits".
  • Google Sheets triggers stop at the first row that can't be sent and show "Not enough credits: some rows were not sent. They will be sent on the next sheet change after credits are added."
  • When the API or a Google Sheets trigger is refused, the workspace creator gets the email "Your Wbiztool Subscription Has Not Enough Credits", at most once every 3 days, plus a WhatsApp message to the number in their Profile.

To send again, upgrade to a larger plan or wait for your allowance to reset on your renewal date.

Payment failed#

If Paddle can't charge your card for a renewal:

  • A We need your attention! banner appears on the dashboard and on Billing & Plans: "Your payment was declined."
  • Your plan and WhatsApp numbers stay in place while Paddle retries the payment, but your message allowance isn't renewed until a payment succeeds.

Click Add Payment Method in the banner to update your card with Paddle. When the payment goes through, the banner disappears and your allowance is renewed.

Paddle customer portal#

Paddle's customer portal is where you update your card and see your Paddle subscriptions and payments. To open it, click Add Payment Method in a payment banner, or go to /paddle/customer-portal-redirect/ while logged in to the workspace.

This only works once the workspace has paid through checkout. Otherwise you see "Please contact support to update your billing information."

To download invoices from the dashboard, use Settings → Payment History. To put your business name, address and GST or VAT number on invoices, fill in Settings → Billing.

Cancel your subscription#

  1. Find the subscription

On Billing & Plans, under Active Subscriptions, find the plan or add-on subscription.

  2. Cancel

Click Cancel, then Yes, Cancel Subscription. You see Subscription Cancelled.

If the dialog shows an error such as "Failed to cancel subscription: …", nothing was cancelled. Try again or use the Paddle customer portal.

The subscription stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.

When the paid period ends:

  • The workspace moves back to the Free trial.
  • If you have more WhatsApp numbers than the Free trial allows, the extra numbers are removed. Connected numbers are kept first, then the most recently added.
  • If the workspace no longer has the Unibox add-on, its Unibox listeners are removed.

Refunds follow the Refund policy. Cancelling doesn't refund the current period by itself.

Plan states#

What the page showsMeaning
Free trialNo paid plan. The workspace uses the free allowance.
Active until a dateA paid plan that renews automatically on that date.
Lifetime AccessAn AppSumo lifetime plan. It never expires, and its message allowance resets every 30 days.
ExpiredPayment for your paid plan is overdue. See Payment failed.

AppSumo lifetime deals#

If you bought Wbiztool on AppSumo, activate the license from AppSumo. Wbiztool doesn't have a field to paste a license key.

  1. Pick the workspace

If you belong to more than one workspace, log in to Wbiztool and switch to the workspace that should get the lifetime plan.

  2. Activate on AppSumo

In your AppSumo account, activate your Wbiztool license. AppSumo sends you to Wbiztool.

  3. Log in or sign up

If you aren't logged in, you see "Please Signup or Login to activate your license". Log in or create an account, and the license is applied when your dashboard opens. In this case it goes to the workspace you created, not one you were invited to.

  4. Check your plan

Open Billing & Plans. It shows Lifetime Access with a LifeTime badge, AppSumo Plan Details for your tier, and a Manage AppSumo Licenses button.

What to know about lifetime plans:

  • The license replaces the workspace's current plan and gives the tier's full message allowance straight away. It resets every 30 days.
  • Each license is applied to one workspace.
  • To upgrade or downgrade your tier, use Manage AppSumo Licenses or AppSumo. The new tier is applied to the same workspace.
  • If the license is refunded or deactivated on AppSumo, the workspace goes back to the free plan and its remaining messages are removed.
  • AppSumo plans can't be cancelled from Active Subscriptions, and AppSumo purchases don't appear in Payment History.
